While I think the design is a little odd at first sight, I think it is clearly a practical vehicle, with an unusual appearance to which we would quickly become accustomed, if it was ever put into production.
With a little refinement, at the front and rear, it would be the new all purpose vehicle, for small-medium sized businesses.
Or even as a people carrier, for large families.
All of you people who said that this is a bad design are fucking retards. You all obviously know nothing about good design. Every time that there is a design for a vehicle that looks even a little futuristic you all say that it looks like crap and is one of the ugliest things you have ever seen. If it was up to you people all consumer products such as cars would look the same forever. How do you think the car got to be where it is today anyway? I’m sure if you were living in the time of the Model T and you saw a car from 2008 you would say that it looked like a piece of shit. I especially like the fact that it utilizes hubless wheels. It belongs on the road today.

4. This is NOT a car. It is a SEMI TRACTOR. The kind you see barreling down North American highways with huge trailers behind them. It’s designed for towing several tons of freight, not picking up hot chicks or street racing. The appearance is only a concept, meant to look futuristic.

I like this, it may be slightly too long for driving on conventional roads, but for motorways/highways what more could a trucker want? excellent concept, keep up the good work.
The design of this semi truck is awesome because it enables the truck to pull a trailer and get awesome diesel miles per gallon! A similar design was on the Discovery channel. This design is so aerodynamic it can cut through the air with great ease and save a ridiculous amount of diesel. So, the design of this so called piece of shit actually serves a great purpose which in turn makes it much cooler than most.
I agree with the enlightened, well-spelled ones in this thread. To th ignorant ones, learn to spell, realize that that is a semi TRUCK concept, and if you don’t like it, fine. You don’t have to buy it…

As if some people here don’t know this this is a semi….it looks like one. not only that but its designed like that because 18 wheelers today are not aerodynamic at all…they loose so much gas mileage to wind resistance. people knew this and added the piece at the top of the cab that is kinda round. they are just making it practical with high gas prices and all
This sure would help with gas mileage. I have a very good friend who is a long haul driver for a leading aerospace firms. He drives one of the brand new Volvo rigs that have a much more sloped front end. Something like the above would increase mileage tremendously. The only draw back of a sloped nose is the lessened field of view.
I love the idea but view from the cab would be rather limited i suggest increasing the angle of the windshield a bit and shortening the nose a little apart from that i would love to see this on the road

I really like the general concept. A blend of Semi and Airliner. But I must be critical as a Pilot and an aerodynamics student. The visibility is poor (as many have said already) I see a very well thought out design…with the exception of the visibility. But should be continually rethought. And I like the hubless wheels ( although there are no real advantages to them ) Overall GOOD JOB =D

WELL DONE AN A+++ (IF THERE IS SUCH THINGS) This car looks like a tennis shoe, I love it !!! it is a concept if ever there was one! ether you love it or hate it but what ever you say its different and out of the box and that is the hole idea behind concepts this could be the future of tracker trailers you know the 16 and 18 wheelers!
Obviously none of you guys drive big rigs. This thing is ugly as hell. The nose on it would keep you from being able to back into a parking spot at alot of truck stops. And getting into some customers docks would be impossible with that long ass thing. That one guy was right. It does look like it belongs on a train track.

As a fellow designer, I must give my honest opinion:
1) It is a nice aerodynamic design, yet it does seem too borrowed from a train.
2) Visibility is at lethally low levels.
3) The Elongated Cab makes it impractical on tight city streets.
4) It is rendered quite well.
5) I wish a could see an accompanying trailer.
Please note that the designers goal should not be to design something aerodynamic firsthand; that should be a less important goal–here’s why: Aerodynamic studies in the 1930’s proved that if we continue to try to make all cars aerodynamic we would end up with one universal shape (and that’s not good if we want a consumer driven economy; they want variety); it would look something like a teardrop. You should slope the front-end a lot more; this will give the driver more visibility and the cab more maneuverability. Remember, the design as of now looks like a train, and trains don’t have to worry about navigating traffic or negotiating tight right hand turns at intersection. But good work!
P.S. I especially love the upward swoop at the top of the cab; keep it in your redesign.

I really enjoy the design. I would suggest bigger mirrors and maybe a design of the interior as well. With the size and lack of visability maybe it comes with cameras?? Im really intrested in what it would look like inside!
Also It comes across being too long(taking a little off the nose and a bit off the cabin?) and too high, just a little tweeking would do and I would say it’s good! I love it!

as a trucker.i would never buy something like this.when you spend over $180,000.00 for a tractor you at least want it not to look like your buying NASA’s scrap metal or old junk.

Interesting design, but I must point out some flaws.
The first would be limited visibility, and several people have already pointed that out.
The second would be the exhaust system. It looks like it would have to push the exaust quite a ways. I’m sure that with proper refinement that it would flow freely. The problem with exhausts is they have to be the correct length, too long and it will choke the motor, too short and you lose backpressure.
The low profile tires are a no-go. Not enfough rubber/air on the road. Those rims would weigh a ton in addition to the load. They no longer use the beadlocks because they are unsafe, and it has been demonstrated that the low profile tires wear out faster and are more likely to blowout than regular sized.
It appears to have disc breaks. Again I would advise against this. Maybe discs on the front, but when under load drum breaks would be able to stop the mass faster.
It also looks like it would ride a little low, unless it has an air suspension. Something I would not reccomend for a veichle that will be carrying tons. Busses can do it fine but they dont carry the same weight.
Any way you cut it. Good Concept! Keep up the good work!
