The top picture of the little boy maybe the thing that has finally gotten the message across to my 10 year old nephew that he must respect and fear the traffic on his busy street. Nothing else has worked. This is not an image that I wished for him to have in his brain, but felt it was necessary when he stepped out into traffic on his way to school without even looking. I was driving in front of his house on my way to work, hoping to get a glimpse of the kids on their way to school. I was driving 15 mph in a 45 mph zone, going slow to better my chances to see them. Even though I was actively looking for one of the kids, I did not see Bubby who was standing in front of a very tall PT Cruiser. If I had been doing the regular speed limit, I would have most definately hit him. I would not have been able to stop no matter what I would have done. I found out he was upset with his Mom over an “outfit” squabble that morning and was not thinking. So please, let’s watch out for the kids out there, especially before and after school, around schools, playgrounds, and in residential districts. No one wishes to be the cause of a picture like the one above being taken.

this kind of pictures should be on bilboards and DMV offices for every one to see. im not sure who are the worse drivers the drunk drivers or the ones who are not drunk?
idk, those are some horrible pictures.. but they shouldnt be posted.. some ppl should have some respect for those victims familys… maybe a lil kid running in a street and gettin killed should prove a point.. but we all know it doesnt… kids are kids… why do u think there called kids.. they still need time to develope and grow and learn… soem people need to undertstand that….
As someone who has been called out to numerous fatal accidents over the last 4 years I can say that these pictures are very real… It is sad to realize that someone lost a family member in each of these photos but at the same time i think the question “are these real?” kind of sums it up… these pictures look so much worse than hollywood or tv depicts but this is the reality of it… Its not a pretty picture at all and hopefully everyone who looks at these will take the extra time to drive a little more carefully or not drink and get behind a wheel because the reality is much nastier than it is portayed. I have responded to over 50 fatal accidents nearly all caused by carelessness one way or another…
I drive truck for a living. I see images nearly as bad on a regular basis. I wish everyone could ingrain this imagry in their heads. I KNOW it would impact at least enough of those whose attention is drawn away toward other things while they are driving to drastically reduce the number of accidents I see. I can safely say that every accident I see is from one cause: stupid. There is no shortage of it on the freeways.

WHAT why would someone post this for everyone to see?????????As I was viewing these devastating pictures for a project my teacher Ms. Reynolds assigned the class my eyes filled with tears and my heart filled with sorrow. I then realized why they would post somthing this shocking. As I looked at the pictures again I couldn’t bare to think of one of the children to be my little newphew or one of my cousins. The reality of the pictures are breathtaking. Hopefully they will send a message out to kids, parents, and drivers to be more alert of whats around them. However I don’t think many kids will see the reality and just put it in the back of thier head. I wish thier was a way that everyone could see these pictures and hear the stories exspecially the teenagers just getting their licenses. My prayers go out to the families and their beloved diceased.May GOD be with you
sites like this should be available to everyone without having to search for it so they could see how mixing drugs, alcohol, or stupid behvior with driving to hopefully see how thier life could end up if they make wrong decisions.

Even the reality of these shocking should send a message to all its viewers I dont think it will send a strong enough message to some of the teenagers. Most teenagers that had the oppurtunity to see the reality of car accidents would just look at it and maybe dwell on it for a moment but they wouldn’t take it to heart everytime they got behind the wheel of a car or all in all in a car . When teenagers are with thier friends they don’t think about anything but a good time. Teenagers dont realy take in the reality of a car accidents until it happens to them or someone they know however as unbelivable this may sound even then some still dwell on it a little then go about being a teenager again. Even though these pictures may not change a persons dicisions when it comes to being in a car or even walking on the streets I think flyers with these pictures and the stories about the pictures should be made and handed out to all kids and even elders because it might hit 1 out of every 10 who recieve it. I would make the flyers myself but only with the consents of the families. It is the tragic side of my career. People need to pay more attention or another little inicent child’s life will be taken, I see it all the time. It blackens my heart every time i come upon a deceased child. May god be with the faithfully departed. I take my hat off every time I see a decease persons, who’s life was not taken from them, but viciously ripped away from them,from an automobile same as the families of the deceased. I lost my 16 year old daughter from being kille in a head on collision with a drunk driver. I try living with it and ding my job, but telling someone their child has died is not the easiest thing to do, but makes my situation worse.
Well, to those of you who ended up here and are now whining that it’s so horrible, I’m pretty sure you didn’t end up on this page by accident, so maybe take a look at that fact before you start getting all offended at whomever posted the pictures. It’s normal for a person to be curious about death and the reality of it. Despite what all our philosophy and religeon try to get us to believe, we really have no idea what death is like ’till we die. So it’s only natural that people be drawn to stuff like this. The ones who are making fun of it are most likely the ones who are the most afraid of death and are trying to mask it. Either way, getting all self rightious about your opinion of others reaction doesn’t change any aspect of any of this except show the rest of us that you’ve allowed someone elses comment bug you. You might be saying to yourself, “Well it obviously bugs you too, you’re commenting as well.” Well, you’d be right. senceless bickering over someone elses tragic circumstances with the intent of showing how right you are does get under my skin a tad.
These picture graphically remind us of the dangers of drinking and driving, but that also includes those who fall asleep at the wheel. I am going to a funeral today for my very best of 20 years who was killed by someone who fell asleep at the wheel. Because of the negligence of this driver a husband lost his wife, a 7 year old boy lost his mother, a father lost his daughter, a sister lost her little sister, many friends lost their treasured friend on and on…
My condolences go out the the families of the victims pictured and others who have lost a loved one to a drunk, drivers under the influence of medications, fell sleep at the wheel or just pure negligent driving.

These accidents are very much dreadful. We condole with all the families suffered by them. Drinking is very much bad habit this is why Islam forbade it. Second traffic principles must be obeyed and the persons who do not follow them must be punished hard. Drivers must keep the speed slow near populating areas. May Allah show the right path to all human beings.

The picture of the little boy is very saddening. What is just as saddening is that the image will only have an impact on people who are already careful and respectful drivers.
Not everyone has the attributes to fly a plane, not everyone has the attributes to drive a car safely. We should have more rigourous tests before people are let loose on the street.

Everybody should warn their children that driving is serious and not a game. Unfortuantley I did end up looking like some of these pictures. I was walking in a crosswalk and the lady still hit me going 60 km/h. she didn’t see me cuz she was too busy with her cell phone. the only difference between the people in these pictures and me is that i survived, i was 16 when this happened. there’s nothing worse than be knocked out so hard from landing on your head on the pavement you dont even know whats going on. tell your kids to watch put, this is serious, and whats worse is if you do survive, the aftermath is worse. i have spent the last year and a half of what are supposed to be the best years of my life seeing doctors, going thru surgeries, going to physiotherapy, i am so lucky to even be alive people tell me, but so far a have benn thru 3 surgeries. now i’m no parent, but for all you that are, could you imagine seeing your child go thru that? take care of your children and tell them driving is serious and to look both ways, because even though those cars look like they might stop, chances are slim, take it from me and my experience.

These pictures were the only pictures that convinced my son not to use his phone while driving.
this can turn anyone off of wanting to simply look at a car. I’m 16 and I haven’t gotten my license yet, and I’m eager to. But everytime I go online and see crashes with gory images like this, it makes me not want to even bother to accompany my parents on a sunday drive! EUGHHHH!!
i was shocked that people would put those photos up and then i relized what could happen if my brother was killed i would want people to be smarter than him and watch out but most of all look out for the people that dont watch where there going when their driving. im 15 and and really exited to get my licence and when i lok at these photos it makes me not want to anymore.:(
